SATURDAY NIGHT AND THE SOHO HOUSE

Last night Nathan and I checked out Toronto's SOHO House that opened last year (September 2012). Canadian musician k-os was there to DJ one of the bars and celebrate his recent album, Black and Blonde. Wearing some of my favourite accessories but the glasses are new, a Birthday present from N8! I love my new eyeglass frames!!! We found them at C! Optical inside Sherway Gardens mall shopping yesterday. Monday I will be visiting my friends at Hakim by my office to get my prescription lenses put in. My fabulous new eyewear is designed by, Oliver Peoples and were reasonablly priced but the cost to place my perscription lenses with C! optical was too pricey ($267 vs. $60). I Hope Hakim Optical can change my lenses before we leave for vacation this Friday.. Fingers crossed, but if it doesn't happen, I still have my prescription RayBan sunglasses. ~thanks to shopping at The Bay and Hakim Optical.

January 2012

On Monday, January 23rd I was featured on CTV BC's Morning Show asking Randy Fenoli some Wedding Dress questions which also displayed a picture of me. Randy said any dress I wanted would look fabulous on me. With a comment like that, it was definitely a highlight of the year!

February 2012

On my birthday (February 5th) Nathan took me to Buffalo, NY so I could shop the Jason Wu for Target collaboration collection.

Also for my Birthday my bestie, Andrea had given me a Gift Card to one of our favourite stores, ZARA! I used the gift card to buy this incredible tweed jacket (below) that reminds me of both Chanel and Angel Food Birthday Cake!!

March 2012

March 8th I hunted my local H+M down in hopes of a piece of MARNI for H+M that I could own. This 100% silk blouse was a MAJOR score!

April 2012

I refreshed the denim in my wardrobe with 2 new pairs of Fidelity jeans, and my first pair of Franco Sarto leather footwear.

May 2012

For my Bachlorette and Wedding present my bridesmaids and best girlfriends took me to Las Vegas to have some fun. I can't decide which look here is my favourite. The 1st picture I'm rocking my new silk Marni x H&M, patterned skirt, and the 2nd is my H+M ikat maxi dress I wore Saturday night when I decided to get a new tattoo!

June 2012

Wearing my souvenir clock necklace I bought at Marie Antoinette's house in Versailles, France last Summer (2011). We went to Versailles the day after Nathan proposed to me under the Eiffel tower.

July 2012

Wearing a collection of my favourite pieces; my Kara Laricks (Fashion Star Winner) blouse I bought in Las Vegas!, patterned pants from Zara, my Franco Sarto Sandals, and my Longchamp purse!!

August 2012

As our Wedding approached Nathan and I treated each other to some gifts. Here are a few Coach handbags my babe gave to me. 

September 2012

September 1, 2012 I married my best friend and long time lover (9 years dating) and couldn't be a happier woman. Our Wedding was perfection and I'm so happy with my Wedding Dress and Bridesmaid dresses I choose for the big day. 

October 2012

Early October I was blessed to score a few bracelets from Anna Dello Russo's collaboration for H+M. It was a popular collaboration and I was worried I wouldn't get any pieces I liked by the time I'd get to the store so, my friend Andrea came through for me and picked up what I wanted during the morning rush. LOVE...

November 2012

Not being able to attend the opening of Maison Martin Margiela for H+M's collaboration, I stopped by my local store at lunch and managed to buy this dramatic red dress.

December 2012

Honestly the best day, Christmas Day! Nathan and I had a lot of fun shopping, wrapping and giving each others presents to one another. I am a very lucky girl.

Rachel Roy Dress

This past Fall I met Rachel Roy in Toronto at The Bay across from my work/office. When I was there I found this beautifully designed, Rachel Roy, aquamarine blue maxi dress. It's a little "Spring/Summer" for Fall/Winter but it's fabulously cut and timeless so the plans are possibly wearing it in Antigua when we are there in February and then afterwards in Canada when the weather turns hot.

Top Shop Fall/Spring Coat
I had 3 Spring/Fall coats I have worn out in the past few years so I donated them and purchased this new lightweight, but professional jacket from TopShop! It hugs the body beautifully and allows me permission to wear black and navy together if I ever need or want too. 

Nicole Richie x Macy's Maxi Dress
I love Nicole Richie and all of her clothing and accessory lines (wearing House of Harlow 1960 Necklace N8 gave me for Valentine's Day approx. 2 years ago), so when I saw Nicole Richie for Macy's collection online, I saw this beautiful maxi dress and couldn't resist. I love; the pattern, the colours, the black lace detail around the colour, and optional arrow detailed waistband. 5 stars :) 

New iPhone Case from Zazzle.com

Maybe inspired by my Nicole Richie peacock patterned maxi dress I choose this neutral tone peacock patterned iPhone 4s case. There are A LOT of options to choose from on Zazzle.com so after weeks of weighing my options I decided on this classic, feminine yet vintage inspired case that I felt would be fine with any clothing or accessories I wear.

Grace has a few books released she's worked on but I was happy to recently buy and read about the REAL Grace Coddington's professional background and vision.  

Rodarte for Starbucks Accessories
Nathan bought me the lunch bag as a gift because he knows how worried I get about packing lunches inside my purse. I bought the travel mug because I love the design and that Starbucks allowed Rodarte to apply their design to the Starbucks logo! I gifted one to my Mom because she enjoys getting to know the fashions I'm interested in. She loved the mug because it reminded her of my "Space Invader" Parisian street artist obsession..

Maison Martin Margiela x H+M "Hitched Up" Dress
MMM's 2003 re-edition dress came in a beautiful red colour, and I have been in the market for a red maxi dress, it was meant to be! My unique dress was a fun conversation piece at my recent staff holiday party too, but I should have took my watch off looking at this picture below.. 

Soia and Kyo Winter Coat
With a Cadillac Fairview gift card present in hand I found this stylish Winter Coat in the Toronto Eaton Centre. Then weeks later Nathan hooked me up with tickets to Soia and Kyo's Spring 2013 runway collection at Toronto Fashion Week!!! Life is good.

Franco Sarto Boots
I bought Franco Sarto staple sandals this past Spring/Summer 2012 and I just so happened to buy Franco Sarto staple, black leather boots!!! In a competitive marketplace I have now acquired a crush on well-designed, but affordable footwear. It's been a while now since I bought them and wearing these boots non-stop, work and play, I can still say; they were a great find.
