I'm reading Kelly Cutrone's book, If You Have To Cry, Go Outside. The book has been great, Kelly speaks very candidly about her ups and downs trying to make it in the big city. Her experiences provide her the insight to offer great advice. My favorite part of the book so far has been her chapter on self-branding. Kelly realized that clients felt really comfortable knowing exactly what they were getting, and for her, a solid black exterior with a warm and brutally honest interior is what they paid for. This really caught my attention. Got me thinking about my brand, and what I want to remain constant becoming the heart of MY brand..
..and Prairie Girl meets Big City was born.

CUT THROAT CUTRONE COMING TO TOWN!

Man I love Twitter. On Friday I noticed Peoples Revolution (yes I follow them), tweeted to Jeanne Beker about being at the Toronto Eaton Centre March 15th. Well, it just so happens I work in the office tower above the mall. Kelly Cutrone is coming to town for a book signing. A few girlfriends and I are definitely going to check it out. I'm going to try and pick up Kelly's book, I'm always accepting of advice from successful women.
