CREATING MY PANDORA BRACELET

March 2011 ELLE Canada Magazine celebrated their 10 year anniversary, and that's where I received a sterling silver Pandora bracelet, 2 spacers, and a bead choice of my choice. That was the beginning of my very own Pandora charm bracelet.
Very DIY, Very Glam.

It was until May 2012 while I was in Las Vegas on my Bachelorette weekend I stopped in a Pandora to mark the occasion and started adding to my bracelet. I will never forget that special and exciting weekend with my closest girlfriends.

I have been hunting high and low for Pandora's "Happy Cat" bead and "London Bus" bead but no luck, they are ALWAYS sold out! I will keep trying though. Recently I purchased "Rose and Leaf" beads that represents our Wedding, and the scent of roses is one of my favourites. I bought the "Red Love You" bead to represent that everyday feels like Valentine's day with my husband, N8. Last but not least I bought the "Happy Fish" bead that represents our Honeymoon in Antigua. I wanted to get the "Suitcase" bead which has a small palm tree on it but again, sold out.

Oh ya, "Camera" bead? Sold out too.

LAST NIGHT: GUESS AND H+M SHOPPING PARTIES

I was invited to the Guess flagship store re-opening party last night. I went with my friend Sarah to check it out. Their shopping promotion was donate minimum $5 to CANFAR, and receive 20% off your purchase plus a gift bag. We did just that, buying a Guess accessory each.
After we shopped and socialized at Guess we went across the street to check out H&M's party. H&M was hosting a pre-MMVA (Much Music Video Awards) party. Canadian band, Dragonette was playing, it was soo awesome to catch their performance for free! More mingling then home to play with my new Guess ring and gift bag.

MY JUNE FLOWERS AND INSPIRATION

Yesterday my boyfriend and I ran to The Bay to buy a shirt he saw on the weekend and regretted not buying then. Of course I was thrilled to join him, I always love going to The Room on the 3rd floor to see what theme/trend the mannequin display is dressed in.

Not only did I get my picture of The Room's mannequin's but my boyfriend bought me these gold, rose earrings that match my grandmothers rose pin I recently inherited. What an amazing anniversary present and surprise! After our shopping trip I treated myself to a Mani/Pedi. Colour I'm wearing on hands and feet is; OPI's It's A Grape Fit.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK! WHERE TO NEXT?

Sweater and accessories all from New York City :) I actually bought the watch and bracelet in San Diego this past Christmas, but the watch is DKNY and the bracelet is Betsey Johnson. Those ladies are so New York they still fit in here with my New York fashion moment. Shirt I bought at Forever 21 on 5th Avenue, and necklace from a street vendor on Broadway Avenue in the SOHO neighbourhood.

My boyfriend and I have been traveling to NYC every chance we get these past 4-5 years, but it's time to spread our wings. We're currently planning a vacation this July and we have definitely decided on Paris!!! We are also planning Barcelona, Spain... BIG adventure, lots of planning.. Stay tuned :)

ELLE CANADA 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY

I had so much fun with girlfriends, celebrating ELLE Canada's 10 year anniversary with the entire Toronto (some people from Montreal) fashion and advertising crowd. Hanging out with friends, colleagues, acquaintances is always fun but add fashion into the mix, and I get a little silly...

Above: Noreen Flanagan, Editor in Chief of ELLE Canada
Below: My girlfriends and I tweeting our favourite ELLE moment at the party. We entered for a Ladies Night package at Hotel Germain :)

ELLE Canada asked several Canadian designers who they thought the ELLE girl was. Here is a sketch by my favourite Canadian designer, Erdem.

I dressed smart-casual. I wore my new dark denim and white crochet knit cardigan, everything including the undershirt was from H&M. You can't see but I have on silver Juicy Couture crown earrings, wore my Betsey Johnson watch which was great thinking, the Pandora bracelet I got to make was in silver.

Everyone working at the party was wearing white ELLE shirts with Denis Gagnon's sketch from the invitation. On my way home I noticed a white shirt in the gift bag and crossed my fingers it had the sketch. Voila!!! I'm so excited it was, will try to archive this shirt forever... Thank god for my blog, if anything happens to it (over the years), I will always have the pictures.

I meet a few ladies from Pandora and they were telling me their jewelry doesn't contain any nickle, and every bead is handcrafted. They also mentioned the beads are handcrafted and taken care of by 40 people before they leave production!

The special bead I choose has shimmery black enamel hearts. I choose this bead as my statement bead because I'm a hippie (all about the love!), black goes with everything, matched my nail polish (OPI's Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow), and I loved (see! LOVE..) the juxtaposition and style of a black heart.
