MY ANIMAL PRINT OBSESSION

I have always enjoyed a little bit of animal print in my wardrobe. The term animal-print in my world is a very broad term, I'm not always about the usual zebra or leopard print, I enjoy incorporating beautiful animals around my wrist as well as articles of clothing ;) This Fall/Winter 2012/2013 I find myself admiring stylish animal portrait print sweaters that would add a fierce touch of personality to  my wardrobe!

HALLOWEEN FUN TAKE 1

Yesterday we tried carving a pumpkin after an inspiring picture we saw online via Pinterest. The pumpkin didn't really work out but the baked pumpkin seeds are tasty!

The design we marked out didn't turn out as well as we hoped, maybe a bit too ambitious for us. Next time I think we're going to try this simple but classy decorative pumpkin idea.

ENJOYING THE FALL SEASON IN TORONTO

I can't wait to carve this pumpkin!!! I think N8 and I have decided to carve a scary face where the mouth is big enough to hold a small pumpkin inside it, so it will look zombie-cannibal like. The only Halloween traditions I take part in is pumpkin carving, baking the seeds, and handing out candy to trick or treater's. 

I ate at an Italian restaurant, Mirto this past week and when I was there I spotted a Football shout out to my homeland Saskatchewan :)

Fall dressing, holiday dressing, friends, family, and traveling are my favourite parts of the holiday season. Nathan's birthday is coming up so we are planning a trip to our friends cottage for the weekend. We are really excited about it, can't wait to get out of the city for a few days for extreme relaxation :) 

$500 TO SPEND AT HOLT RENFREW...

If you had $500 to spend at Holt Renfrew, what would you buy? 

Recently I won a contest for a $500 Holt's Gift Card. Should arrive in the mail in the next 2-3 weeks, so obviously I have already started planning the best way to spend the Gift Card. I worked my butt off to win this contest so I'm really excited to treat myself with the reward. From years of experience shopping and being obsessed with fashion I thought what I really want is a handbag or jewelry. Ultimately I will decide at the store as Holt's website seems limited in what they can show for merchandise that is actually in-store. From the website I found some great purchases or investments the gift card would be great for. I really want an Alexander Wang handbag, that would be the ultimate for me, but at this time I may need to stay realistic and buy my first Marc by Marc Jacobs I have always been interested in owning. I typically stick to black or tan when it comes to shoulder bags and shoes but  maybe I need to make an exception with this purchase, the blue Marc by Marc Jacobs I found online is a fabulous bag I would really like in a colour that matched our Wedding royal/sapphire colour. Coincidence?

THANKSGIVING WEEKEND 2012

Thanksgiving weekend this year was full of family, food, celebration, and some good old fashion shopping! N8 and I picked up some of our wedding presents from our friends and family that arrived at our Hudson's Bay location.  I am very thankful for all the good in my life and very thankful for all of the people who love me along the way..

I was excited for the ADR x H&M collection but couldn't rearrange plans to be thereat all during the launch day. In the morning I was texting with my girlfriend Andy who was headed in that direction, and what a doll, she scooped up the two bracelets I really wanted and I couldn't be happier! :)
