GOOD FRIDAY, ART, AND FASHION.

Today is a Statutory Holiday in Canada, "Good Friday." N8 and I had today off from work, and with the weather getting warmer we ventured out for a walk. First we went graffiti spotting in some alleys that are popular for artists here in Toronto.

What I Wore:
Soia + Kyo Jacket
Fidelity Denim Jeans
Franco Sarto Boots
Dooney + Bourke Vintage Handbag
Malene Birger Tweed Sweater
T-shirt from Aritzia
RayBan Sunglasses
Custom Pandora Bracelet
Kate Spade Watch

We stopped into our favourite designer art and toy store, Magic Pony.

Not only was I delighted Joe Fresh was open today, but I was ecstatic to find more 100% silk blouses in a variety of colours. I left Joe Fresh with three new silk blouses in; Coral, Green,  and Blue. It wasn't until we got home that I realized the tulips we bought match my new clothes!!!

FASHION MAGAZINE TRENDS EVENT

Yesterday I attend Canada's FASHION Magazine's Spring 2013 Trends Event in Toronto. It was a great event and I attend with great friends. My friend Stephanie (from Oh Heel No!) and I said yes to an interview for FASHION's website so we are really looking forward to see how the event's video turned out. Pictures below capture some of my favourite parts of the evening, but all I can say is,
"trends may come and go into season but love who you are first."

Studying my new mentor, David Livingstone!

MY CHRISTMAS DAY LOOK

On Christmas Day (yesterday) after we opened presents I "suited up" for the day of eating and visiting with family. I decided to wear my new lilac cotton Alfred Free blouse I bought at Aritzia in Vancouver a few weeks ago shopping with Norma. Wore my light denim Fidelity jeans because Charlie the dog was going to be around and he's a fun dog to visit with. For accessories I had to pack up my hot new purse, the Coach Legacy, Archival Rambler Shoulder Bag in Black Cherry. To top this look off I have decided after years of archiving to start draping myself in my “Fleurs d'Ecosse,” Sylvia Kerr designed for Hermes, 100% silk scarf
The pairing of my Coach purse and Hermes scarf is a match made in fashion heaven!

DECEMBER 2010 FLARE MAGAZINE

Picked up the December FLARE yesterday, here are a few of my favourite things :)

LOVE these wedges Rad Hourani and Julian Louie collaborated with Aldo. Love a great tribal print, and wedge shoe, these will be hard to resist.. Also into the menswear inspired pants from Aritzia on the right, would be a great addition to the work attire..

Lady-like chic continues to inspire me, high waisted silhouettes and small-medium structured bags :)

Fun editorial #1, Centre Stage.

Fun editorial #2. Amazing winter inspiration..

Favourite dress from editorial #3, amazing Peter Som dress. And what's this, the return of Tom Ford?!? Expected this might happen.. He's a born designer..
