SHOWERED WITH LOVE

Everyday I feel blessed to have the friends and family that we do. N8 and I decided not to have a baby shower prior to our boy's birth because it felt strange to us to have one without him there. Regardless we have still been showered with love from all and here are a few gifts we have received for our boy.

Burt's Bees "Baby Bee" gift basket from some of my clients at work.

Slippers my boss brought back from her vacation to China.

Playful volume soother from a business colleague and friend. Appropriate for this musically inclined household :)

Pillow stitched and gifted from our friends J-hi + Erwin.

Stuffed animals I found at Hallmark.

FABRIC SHOPPING FOR BABY BLANKETS

My parents have been in town visiting and today we walked along Queen street to fabric shop for baby blankets. My mom is planning to sew receiving blankets and a few crib size quilts for our little man. Here are pictures of the fabric we found. Now I can't wait to receive the finished products. Hope our boy will like them as much as N8 and I do.

Fabric pictured above was found at the first store we checked out. This car and truck printed fabric will be used for receiving blankets.

This Superman and Batman fabric will also be made into receiving blankets.

For one of the quilts my mom is making this Superman fabric will be used for one side.

This Batman fabric will be used on the other side of the same quilt the the Superman fabric above is being used for. I'm calling it our Superhero quilt.

All three types of Star Wars fabric will be used for the second quilt.

PREGNANCY DIARY: WEEK 23

23 weeks along this crazy ride called, Pregnancy. Within the last couple of weeks I have just started feeling our little man move around and kick which is the most incredible feeling. Just recently had my first week without any morning sickness!!! Cause for celebration now that I can roll out of bed and not experience the dizziness and hurdle of getting sick before or at work. I apparently was one of many women who experience morning sickness for 6 months of her pregnancy. Now on to bigger and better things! Now on agenda we are at the painting stage of putting together our nursery. We have finally chosen our colour of blue for the walls which we are painting this weekend, and after this phase we will start building and buying the last pieces of furniture.

Gifts for our son below.
First picture sent to us from my mom, she made a car seat cover!

What I call a "Soother-Stache" below, a gift from business colleagues at Rogers Media.

2 SASK GIRLS HANGING IN TORONTO

Before we left for Vancouver my best friend, Meghan came to Toronto for work. It was great to hang with her every evening after work. Our week was full of dinners, events, and of course, shopping!

At the Kevin Kwan's "Crazy Rich Asian" book celebrated hosted by, Random House, Chatelaine and FLARE magazine. Location; Shangri-La Hotel.

Picture below of Toronto's City Hall. The view from Meghan's room.

One day after work we enjoyed some sun on the rooftop patio.

We celebrated our week of being re-united with the purchases of Michael Kors watches we have been coveting.

My Michael Kors watch.

Brunch before taking Meghan to the airport.

MY PANDORA BRACELET OBSESSION

It was in March of 2011 I received a Pandora bracelet, 2 spacers, and 1 bead choice from ELLE Canada's 10th Anniversary party here in Toronto. Then in May (2012) I bought 2 spacers and 2 beads at the Pandora in the mall across the street from our hotel when my girlfriends/bridesmaids took me to Las Vegas for my Bachelorette party.

As of January 2013 I have picked up a few new beads to add to my bracelet. I recently bought Red Enamel Vines bead, Rose Leaf bead, Red Love You bead, and the Happy Fish bead all at The Bay here in Toronto.

A look of my bracelet before adding Red Enamel Vines bead.

My Pandora bracelet is growing!

Beads below are on the top of my Most Coveted List. They are always sold out when I ask for them in-store. Hopefully one day I will have  London Bus and Happy Cat, they are my Top 2 Must Have's.

I would love to have them all on the same bracelet with a fairly common floral bead spacer in between each of the dangle beads below.

Here are some of my favourite floral and sparkly Pandora beads that would make great spacers on a bracelet. Or in my/your own style they could also fill up an entire bracelet with all the gorgeous floral beads Pandora has to choose from.

I'm becoming really obsessed with this charm below. I want the double hearts to be the 1st and middle bead on my next Pandora bracelet. I also kind of want a tattoo similar to this bead design. The bead is  SO romantic and reminds me of a deep Romeo and Juliet kind of love, the "Fighting for Love" kind of love the play and movie portray.

PREPPING FOR OUR GETAWAY!

The countdown is on. In 3 days from now Nathan and I will be spending 7 days in the Caribbean  at Sandals Antigua Resort. In addition to staying on top of laundry and making lists of what I need to do to pack just 2 carry-on approve sized pieces of luggage. While shopping for a pair of black leather flats, I spotted my favourite Sperry black leather quilted TopSiders on SALE!!! I'm happy I found them :)

I found this quirky "M" Sweater at Old Navy today and bought one for my best friend Meghan, and one for Moi. My 30th Birthday is in 7 days and I'm really excited to celebrate it in Antigua, but my bestie Meghan (who's 30th is 10 days after mine) won't be with me. This is my little piece of my "M" to take with me.
