MY CURRENT MAGAZINES

Just a quick post to continue declaring/noting my love for British fashion magazines. Overpacked of course, I went to the airport without any magazines but the company of my man so I was ok. Before boarding our flight we decided to pick up one magazine each, and out of all the magazines to choose from I was happy to grab the December British VOGUE!

I'm an online/digital addict but I still love my magazines. My first and only wedding magazine I will own will be this weddingbells magazine I picked out and received from my amazing man on Christmas Eve. Once our family social quieted down and left my man, parents and I relaxing in our living room, I cracked open my wedding magazine to see what the latest trends and fashions are being reported.

When women don't want to wear a white or ivory wedding dress, the traditional colour to opt for is a light, blush pink. I'm not your average traditional girl or bride so this appeals to me, but to wear a blush coloured dress it would have to be divinely designed like this one from Vera Wang. WOW. But I have ordered my Ivory dress and couldn't be happier with my choice. When I saw my dress and tried it on, I knew it was the one for me. They mention the ombre dress trend as well (remember Gwen Stefani's white to pink wedding gown), which I would do to mine Ivory to Sapphire blue but it's not a priority and even though it's unique and personal, I still love my dress the way it is now. It's perfect...

Love this wedding hairstyle, definitely a look I'm taking to my hairstylist. Braid and bun combo remind me of being a kid having my mom braid my hair and the bun from years of Figure Skating competitions.

Great makeup tip here, opt for a lighter lip colour for the ceremony and a deeper shade for the reception. Definitely noted... I love lipstick and lipgloss... From the shades shown below as the examples I do really, really, REALLY like peachy-pink Guerlain lipstick shown (gold case packaging)...

ORGANIZING MY MAGAZINE COLLECTION, AND PRESENTS FROM LONDON!

Out with the old, in with the new! I spent Friday night organizing a piece of my world. It's so hard to throw away old magazines, but there's only so much space. I said good-bye to my 2009's..

Not ready to remove any 2010 issues, especially not the special issues I have collected.

My boyfriend is back from his work trip to London after 6 days away, and brought me the most amazing treats! SO cute he had has stocked up my earring collection. The set of three he found at Harrods, and the pearl studs from the Tower of London's Crown Jewels gift store :D

Also in tow he bought me three UK fashion magazines. I flipped through the ELLE this morning and soo many jaw-dropping, gasp worthy features and editorials.

Sent wirelessly from my BlackBerry device on the Bell network.

CHRISTMAS PRESENTS OF MY DREAMS COME TRUE!

For Christmas my boyfriend gave me The Fashion Book :D It wasn't on my list, I was so surprised and happy to have it, it's a definite must-have fashion bible I needed in my collection. To keep up with documenting what I'm reading, this is a great time to note a few publications I treated myself to :) I treated myself to the December Vogue UK (airport purchase), and yesterday I bought Collecting Contemporary Art at San Diego's Museum of Contemporary Art. I'm officially in love with Taschen publishing, first they brought/I bought FASHION NOW 2 I previously posted, and now this Art book. I'm noticing a trend and read the sleeve, their personal passion for all things art I highly respect and LOVE.

In the DVD category I was very, very lucky receiving all the Movies and Documentaries I REALLY wanted :) My parents gave me Sex and the City (it's tradition I get a female/fashion-esque DVD every Christmas), my boyfriend's dad gave me Grey Gardens, and Nathan's brother gifted The Runaways - LOVED Dakota Fanning as Cherie Sinclair and the fashion/costume wardrobe.

I'm the luckiest girl in the world. My collection of Movies and Books is growing I'm going to need a bookshelf all to myself.. Next years gift? LOL :D

WHAT I'M READING: UK VIBES

Traveling is my favorite excuse to buy magazines. I bought 3 UK issues this time, all December 2009 editions; VOGUE, ELLE, and In Style UK. They were just the change I needed this holiday season.
