MY CURRENT MAGAZINES

Just a quick post to continue declaring/noting my love for British fashion magazines. Overpacked of course, I went to the airport without any magazines but the company of my man so I was ok. Before boarding our flight we decided to pick up one magazine each, and out of all the magazines to choose from I was happy to grab the December British VOGUE!

I'm an online/digital addict but I still love my magazines. My first and only wedding magazine I will own will be this weddingbells magazine I picked out and received from my amazing man on Christmas Eve. Once our family social quieted down and left my man, parents and I relaxing in our living room, I cracked open my wedding magazine to see what the latest trends and fashions are being reported.

When women don't want to wear a white or ivory wedding dress, the traditional colour to opt for is a light, blush pink. I'm not your average traditional girl or bride so this appeals to me, but to wear a blush coloured dress it would have to be divinely designed like this one from Vera Wang. WOW. But I have ordered my Ivory dress and couldn't be happier with my choice. When I saw my dress and tried it on, I knew it was the one for me. They mention the ombre dress trend as well (remember Gwen Stefani's white to pink wedding gown), which I would do to mine Ivory to Sapphire blue but it's not a priority and even though it's unique and personal, I still love my dress the way it is now. It's perfect...

Love this wedding hairstyle, definitely a look I'm taking to my hairstylist. Braid and bun combo remind me of being a kid having my mom braid my hair and the bun from years of Figure Skating competitions.

Great makeup tip here, opt for a lighter lip colour for the ceremony and a deeper shade for the reception. Definitely noted... I love lipstick and lipgloss... From the shades shown below as the examples I do really, really, REALLY like peachy-pink Guerlain lipstick shown (gold case packaging)...

SPOILED ROTTEN!

Today was my last day of work before I started my Christmas holiday and vacation. Was a great day all in all and in addition to selling what I love everyday, I work with the most thoughtful and supportive woman I know. Wise beyond their years and so many similarities, I am blessed to work with such wonderful people everyday. To top off how amazing my co-worker (and friends!) are; they showered me with the most thoughtful beauty and fashion products from one of their shopping excursions! While I am away traveling back home in Saskatchewan and Vancouver, B.C. I will have everyday treats that remind me of my special Toronto life :)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

My fiance and I went Christmas shopping last night, and after two hours we finally walked by the infamous Swarovski adorned Christmas Tree. I was completely beat but happy I/we snapped a picture of this annual Toronto holiday spectacle.

You can't tell in  the photos above but I had my makeup done yesterday too by my co-worker, friend, and artist, Mandy! I LOVED the look she played on, it's exactly my beauty plan for this Christmas and New Years, why not glam it up a night or two for drinks or dinner with friends. Check out Mandy's Holiday Makeup Tutorial Article HERE.

DKNY TWITTER SENSATION REVEALED!

I can't believe I haven't posted this video to my journal yet. I have with my Tumblr profile, that's where I discovered the video. On October 22, 2011 Twitter sensation, @DKNY 's P.R. GIRL revealed herself through this short video of DKNY, DKNY Men, and Donna Karan New York Spring 2012 runway shows. She's fantastic and has set unprecedented example of representing brands and communicating with consumers in authentic and interesting ways.

SALON TALK ABOUT MY WEDDING HAIR

I have preferred to wear my hair down for a really long time now so it scares me a bit to think of an up-do for the day of my wedding. I really do want to look like myself but a little glammed up! ;) Because of the dress I fell in love with, it would look best with an up-do. A formal (once in a lifetime only occasion) does call for something special, and recently after my hairstylist showed me the best height for my up-do to accentuate my cheekbones and features, I agreed and decided on the possibility of a "Fake Bob Up-do." That's what it's been called and that what I'm diggin'...

MY WINTER WARDROBE STAPLES

I found the perfect cardigans to stock up on for $20! (regular $40) from Old Navy! Instead of buying 1 or 2 I was able to buy three of my favourite colours from their selection. Wear buttoned up or open, the cardigan is definitely my sweater of choice.

I bought the first pair of boots shown above (in black) from Sears.ca and the second boot is a view at my Anna Sui for Hush Puppies, Chukka boot!

Of course my fiance and furbaby will keep we warm and fuzzy too!
Wearing my fashion icon t-shirt my fiance bought for me at Colette in Paris :)
