WAITING FOR BETTER WEATHER

The first day of Spring has come and gone. Although we have had a few really nice warm Spring days, recently and consistantly the weather has been cold for me. With a handful of new leather accessories I'm waiting to rock, I'm still wear my Winter accessories until there is no snow in the forecast, and the rain lets up. While I wait for better weather, here are some accessories I'm dying to wear out.

PREP FOR TORONTO FASHION WEEK

Fashion Week seem to have started last Thursday in Toronto, but starting Monday is World Mastercard's Fashion Week runway schedule. Monday to Friday afternoon and evening presentations from top and emerging designers, inside the large white tent downtown. I can't wait to see a A/W 2013 runway show or two...

I know I'm attending Joe Fresh's runway show Wednesday. Tuesday evening, my friend Andrea and I are attending 7 For All Mankind's party at the Thompson Rooftop Lounge. Fashion Week is also notorious for last minute invites when people's plans change, and you may get a call from a business colleague that afternoon. You have to be ready in a moments notice. Here are some pieces I'm planning to wear next week during Toronto' semi-annual, Fashion Week.

MY MODERN VICE OXFORD JETT BOOTS

Recently I bought myself these Modern Vice JETT Boots designed by Natalie and Dylana Suarez in my new favourite colour, Oxblood!!! I love supporting the Suarez Sisters, two hard-working, multi-facetes fashion influencers that have style I relate too. Modern Vice is a New York based fashion company that producers their merchandise by hand, right there in NYC! These hot, new ankle boots are a birthday present to myself. I still have to spray protect them but don't plan on wearing them when the snow is around. My birthday is February 5th and we will be in Antigua, I will plan to start breaking them in around then. Stay tuned ;)

FALLING INTO SPRING

It was hard for me to miss all of the attention on Autumn/Winter 2012's hot, new colour, "Oxblood" this past year. I'm not much for coveting trends unless they work for my style in general. I historically ALWAYS buy black shoes; flats, heels, boots, Black is my colour of choice 98% of the time. Tan/Camel is my other colour choice for footwear. Recently I did something I don't normally do and in a colour I have never worn, I purchase Oxblood, JETT ankle boots designed by Natalie & Dylana Suarez for ModernVice in NYC. I have owned red shoes in the past and it's been in the back of my mind I haven't stepped outside my black comfort zone in a while, and was wondering what shoe would make me do so. And here we have it..
I recently saw on Twitter through a personally trusted "influencer" I follow (can't remember who it was), an update that called out specifically the colour Emerald Green for 2013. Well, what a coincidence that the next day I stumble across this gorgeous Tibi, Emerald Green Blouse..
