JEWELRY FROM NYC WITH LOVE

On our first day in New York after walking up 5th Ave from the Empire State Building to Central Park, I found a Juicy Couture store! I'm a huge fan of their lovely girlie jewelry, not so much the matching sweatsuits.. After walking into the fabulous store and being told all accessories were on sale, I walked along the display cases and started shopping :) I found one of the stacked ring sets I have been eye-ing up for months.

Oh what is this cute yummy gold piece? Not from Juicy but from a street vendor in SOHO, on Broadway. I bought a few necklaces I had fallen in love with on our second day but slept on it, and on our last day still wanted to have them. Out of curiosity I asked the two gentlemen how long they had been working their booth on Broadway for - 12 years they said!!! WOW. I must have been so charming (pun intended) and was really excited about my new necklaces, they gave me free reign to pick out an extra charm for free! Great way to end a vacay :D

p.s. the sweater I'm wearing is from NYC to :D

FASHION FRIDAY'S

Friday's are great days for shopping. Especially yesterday :) My work place closed early so we could take advantage of last long weekend this summer, I picked up the September issue of LouLou, and I stopped in at The Bay just to see what was shakin' and found a cute bathing suit - 50% off!

PASSION FOR PRINTS

I found these tank tops in NYC at Forever 21. Prints are the best way to add excitement to my wardrobe, and there's always an abundance in summer.. I will definitely wear these in to Fall/Winter under cardigans and jackets.

I'M AN OSCAR WOMAN

I have been watching Oscar de la Renta fashion shows (on Fashion Television), since I was a little girl. As I matured in to a young lady/woman Oscar's designs become more and more appealing to me, especially since the Spring 2009 RTW collection I have become a major fan.

MIU MIU?

I found this gem at Necessary Objects, in NYC. It was love at first sight. At first the pattern reminded me of my cute cat back home, but they seem a little more foxy... After the fashion rage of Miu Miu's Spring 2010 collection, I was soo excited I had found my own unique pattern! I couldn't smiling thinking about this find for the rest of the day :)

NEW SHOES

I bought these new sandals at Necessary Objects in Soho, NYC. It was love at first sight :)

Similar story here.. I work above a mall (dangerous), and spotted these amazing Gucci inspired fashion flats on SALE! $60 Aldo. I love flats, and these are so gorgeous they belong in my closet.

NYC: DAY TWO, WITH US TWO

Day one we explored uptown Manhattan, day two downtown! Started in Nolita, shopped in Soho, cruised through China town, down through the Financial District to Battery Park, where we found an amazing restaurant with a nice patio overlooking the water, and The Statue of Liberty :)

FRIDAY

I love mixing patterns, and managed with my red curly hair and black frame glasses to pull of my coral stripes with two-toned cheetah print flats :) The weather has been at extreme highs, after hours you will definitely spot me in sandals. I bought a new pair of sandals in NYC I definitely have to post about. I wore them out with my new favourite dress..

Later that night my boyfriend and I went downtown to Harbourfront in Toronto, and see our friends from the band, Wide Mouth Mason play. Just another awesome Friday!

NYC: ALICE AND OLIVIA

While in NYC my friend feel in love with this dress from Alice & Olivia. She spotted it in Bloomingdale's but when she saw it again at the store across from Bryan Park, it was another story.. While I had already spent my small fortune on jewelry from Juicy Couture, I just enjoyed my friend's designer purchase and the store's environment :)

THE DAY I MET TONY HSIEH

Today I went to see Tony Hsieh speak (I'm back in Toronto!). One of the very few things that inspired me to get out of a warm bed at 6am - besides travelling ;) I didn't know about Mr. Hsieh until I wanted invited to a Mackenzie Financial Speaker series, that the Globe & Mail hosts. On the invite there was a small biography about this young genius. He co-founded LinkExchange and sold it to Microsoft for Millions - I haven't even learned to use LinkExchange yet! :( And a few years later he takes Zappos.com from little to no sales to billions!! Selling the company to Amazon for billions! I have always wanted to have my own business and contract my skills out for jobs here and there. Or own a cute Internet cafe & book store :D

Tony's presentation was very inspiring. He was full of great advice, learning's and encouragement. I can't wait to read his book (Delivering Happiness) and learn more -"always educate yourself, personally and professionally."
