OUR BOY'S GROWING BOOK COLLECTION

In a card I received from business colleagues I also received an Indigo Books + Gifts gift card. I was surprised to received a gift, but thrilled when I saw it was for Indigo. We have been slowly building up a library for our little man, but the gift card added 7 new books to our boy's collection! Here are all the books in his library we have so far.

I was really excited to find these books; This is London, This is New York, and This is Paris at Kol Kid here in Toronto on Queen Street.  London, New York, and Paris are three major cities N8 and I have travelled to together. The books are such a fit with our nursery travel theme and the art we found at IKEA. Hope our boy likes them too.

OUR WORK IN PROGRESS NURSERY

Nathan and I have been hard at work clearing out and painting the second bedroom for our little man's bedroom. The room is still a work in progress but we are very happy with the way it's turning out. Can't wait to finish the project.

Before we started painting photos.

After! Paint colour is, "Big Sea" from CIL Paints.

Artwork we found at IKEA.

Major cities N8 and I have travelled. Hung in order of our first visits to each.

PROJECT BABY: NURSERY ROOM PLANNING

Months ago we spotted the London-Paris-New York artwork at IKEA and bought it on the spot. We knew we were pregnant at the time but didn't know it if was going to be a boy or girl. We thought it would work well either way because, N8 and I have travelled these destinations together and they hold a  special place in our lives. We are painting the bedroom this weekend and planning to hang the artwork as well.
Will take and upload progress pictures soon.

The convertible crib design we choose only came in cherry wood finish. We thought it was really nice finish long-term if it's also going to be a toddler bed and full size bed frame.

This IKEA lamp provides a large, soft glow that vibes with the dressers.

Birch Veneer Shelves above 1 dresser.

2 dressers from IKEA, one will double as a change table as well. The height is perfect.

REBECCA MINKOFF MINI MAC LAVENDER

This past week I received my first piece of fashion from Canada's hot new e-commerce website, eLUXE.com. My first piece of designer goods from eLUXE.com is a Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac Handbag in Lavender Leather!

Not only was I impression by how well my new handbag was wrapped when it arrived, but I was also happy to see this note from Rebecca Minkoff about caring for my new "Mini Mac" leather handbag. Pictures below from eLUXE.com website.

MY CELINE INSPIRED COACH HANDBAG

I have always adored Celine's "Luggage" Handbag (1st picture below), but unfortunately it's just a bit too low on the family priority list for sometime to splurge and buy one. When I first saw a few pictures online of Coach's Spring 2013 collection, I was taken away with the perforated leather detailing in the modern but classic way in which they adorned the handbags. When I saw Coach's Legacy Mini Tanner in Bisque colour with a Hibiscuis coloured Legacy tassel, and both short and long handles I feel in love hard. Saving 80% of the cost of a (don't get me wrong, GORGEOUS) Celine handbag, I don't have to spend every cent I own to rock a new handbag that I adore.

OSCAR DE LA RENTA X OUTNET.COM

It was recently announced that Oscar de la Renta will have a special collection released on OUTNET.com with retail costs between £245 and £995. Fingers crossed Oscar de la Renta will collaborate with H+M or Target one day, and I can proudly own a piece of his work. Until that happens, here are my favourite garments from this partnership.
