CHRISTMAS MORNING IN TORONTO!

This morning I woke up to packed stockings, coffee and my smiling husband. This was our first Christmas celebration in Toronto and we made it fun in our own special way.

Decorated our stockings with "Space Invader" inspired stickers from IKEA.

Our new "his and her" mugs we found/bought at Chapters/Indigo.

We opened our stockings first and I had two of my favourite UK fashion magazines; InStyle and ELLE January issues. Also packed into my stocking was an aqua business card holder also found at Chapters/Indigo.

I had two presents under our Christmas tree. The first gift I opened was Marc Jacob's latest fragrance, DOT! DOT is a refreshing yet beautifully floral scent made up of; Red Berried, Dragonfruit, Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Coconut Water, Orange Blossom, Vanilla, Driftwood, and Musk. It's to die for!

For our main gifts Nathan and I managed to find each other the perfect leather gifts from Coach. It was really a meant to be miracle, we found EXACTLY what we wanted for new shoulder bags and they were in the same cost range! There was no surprise because we went shopping together, but it was torture to wait 2 days to bust them out!

My new Coach Legacy, Archival Rambler Shoulder Bag in Black Cherry.
I adore this shoulder bag, it's really perfect for me!

In addition to gifting N8 a leather shoulder bag (for work), I also gave him a LEGO Architecture model. I was happy to purchase the Guggenheim model as it's one of his favourite museum's.

MY TIMELESS PIECE FROM JIMMY CHOO FOR H&M

Tamara Mellon (Chief Creative and co-founder of Jimmy Choo), is still all about modern glam with an edge. For a girlie prairie girl that loves her rock n' roll lifestyle, I have always been attracted to the Jimmy Choo style and design. In 2009 when H&M announced their collaboration with Jimmy Choo, I was ecstatic! Living in Toronto, I had a huge opportunity in my backyard that thousands of girls would have dreamed for, I couldn't do everything in my power to own my very own piece of the iconic accessory brand, Jimmy Choo :D Last night (2 years later from purchase), I took my clutch out on the town with me, and besides being practical and exactly the size I needed, I received soo many compliments. Now it's Sunday and to protect my purchase for the rest of my life it will go back in to it's protective cotton bag I made it.. Until next weekend.

There was an interview with Tamara Mellon in InSytle UK February 2011 issue.

Thinking back to when I rocked this clutch on my 27th birthday..

ORGANIZING MY MAGAZINE COLLECTION, AND PRESENTS FROM LONDON!

Out with the old, in with the new! I spent Friday night organizing a piece of my world. It's so hard to throw away old magazines, but there's only so much space. I said good-bye to my 2009's..

Not ready to remove any 2010 issues, especially not the special issues I have collected.

My boyfriend is back from his work trip to London after 6 days away, and brought me the most amazing treats! SO cute he had has stocked up my earring collection. The set of three he found at Harrods, and the pearl studs from the Tower of London's Crown Jewels gift store :D

Also in tow he bought me three UK fashion magazines. I flipped through the ELLE this morning and soo many jaw-dropping, gasp worthy features and editorials.

SEPTEMBER ISSUE: INSTYLE UK

Today I picked up the September InStyle UK :) I love UK magazines, I love European culture, art, and daring fashion and style. I was immediately attracted to the issue because of Rachel Bilson, I love her style. There is a lot of great content in this issue, here are just a few things that stood out for me to remember.

Love that bloggers are invading fashion shows, and magazines are working with them and not against :) A lot of people love fashion..

This specific look by Dries Van Noten has really been the inspiration for my fall wardrobe. I love Dries Van Noten for his structured simplicity. Colours, shapes, and advertising always catch my attention and love. Quote by Rachel Bilson, we have something in common! haha

This feature is on The Runaways, the band and the movie that was released this year. I love biopics, and sex, drugs, and rock & roll, so I rented it. LOVED it. Very, Control, DIG, 24hr Party People, Factory Girl - ish. Dakota Fanning who plays lead singer Cherie rocked this movie. And I loved her wardrobe :)

Y? UK

I love buying UK fashion magazines but are more costly (here in Canada) than our North America titles, so I save buying them for when I'm traveling - my treat! This time I bought a few on our Canada Day long weekend because there were not any August issues on newsstand yet. UK publications are great, it's nice to see some of the same fashion, but styled in a slightly different way. I also enjoy the European models and celebs that I don't usually see in the American ones.

Both these issues were June! I love checking out to see what happened and is happening in all over the world when it comes to fashion. These were great floral trend features I would have to say I got addicted to in spring.

LOVE Menswear inspired looks, great for work and play. Romantic, long Cavalli dresses are to die for..

Mixing of patterns, outfit to jacket is very cool, LOVE mixing pattern.. Wore a striped shirt and leopard print flats the other day.. Awesome to see a Utility jacket like the one I bought earlier this year.

Oh the white blazer.. Thought it may be to bright on me, over power me and my pale skin but I have tried a few on recently and they are stylish!
