WHAT I WORE: THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING!

Today is the first day of Spring and to celebrate I painted my nails a beautiful pastel inspired lavender colour called, Plank A Lot by OPI with Revlon's Galaxy Top Coat nail polish layered on top. I just finished my everyday MAC "Era" eyeshadow but luckily I get to crack open my new colour, "Patina"! Patina is a similar neutral brown shadow compared to Era but slightly darker and with a unique pinkish shimmer that compliments my face nicely. My clothing run-down;  Joe Fresh Sunglasses, Jason Wu x Target T-shirt, H&M Spring/Summer Jacket (from S/S 2011), Pepe London Jeans, Forever 21 laser cut shoes, and (not pictured) my beige Longchamp handbag.

MY NAIL POLISH COLLECTION

I have been wanting to document my current nail polish collection because I haven't done such thing since I was a teenager ;) I threw out a bunch of drugstore polishes I never use and were more than a few years old. Must cleanse small spaces for great feng shui, I say. As you can see I am a HUGE fan of OPI nail polishes. I'm going to list the nail colours I own below for both you and I.

WEEKEND UPDATE

Trying to rest and relax this weekend. It was raining all weekend, but receiving new designer pajamas for around the house (from my amazing fiance), was the perfect pick-me up :)
Secret Garden Chemise by Oscar de la Renta Pink Label, and FW2011 pajama tunic by DKNY sleepwear. I love shopping at The Hudson Bay Company, I always find what I'm looking for...

SPRING/SUMMER BEAUTY SENSATION: OPI CRACKLE NAIL POLISH

This past week I finally picked up a bottle of OPI's black crackle nail polish and last night tried it! I had been planning it over top of a nude nail polish colour for a sleek sexy look, that would also match my coordinating leopard tank top that balanced this edgy look my boyfriend was confused by. LOL It was fun to apply and watch work but I highly recommend a shiny top coat to complete it. You can read my review on Chick Advisor - CLICK HERE.

MY SATURDAY HAUL

Saturday I had a few errands to run, and had also heard Black Swan was out on DVD.. What better way to reward myself after waking up and being proactive to accomplish tasks to pick up a treat :) When I saw the documentary/biopic CONTROL there for $20 both BluRay and reg. DVD disc's!! My boyfriend also wanted a hard copy of The Strokes new album so I picked that up for him, and to complete the rock n' roll, eccentric heroine's I asked if they had 24 Hour Party People in stock, and they did... Then I stopped... :) Tonight we're going to watch Black Swan and clean our entertainment centre to organize and prioritize our stuff. Happy Spring cleaning everyone!

I recently bought OPI's black crackle polish, I applied it over OPI's Tickle My France-y. Looks so good, but took my boyfriend a while to "get it" LOL. I can't stop admiring them, I built my outfit around them :)

I bought this red t-shirt with black bow detail (hidden behind jacket), I was going to exchange it for something else, I found it a bit too sheer, but couldn't.. After getting home I thought when it gets warmer out it will make a great shirt and jacket combo with black/red pants and spring/summer shoes. I will rock it day to night.. Black jeans....

I had to pickup a new Kiehl's lipgloss. My boyfriend had won me a Kiehl's gift set 3-4 years ago at his work's Christmas party. This lipgloss was in the package and is the best gloss I have ever used. It's the only gloss I own that actually heals dry lips, not make them worse. Colour is; French Rose.

THIS TIME LAST YEAR

Today is my birthday!!! I celebrated Thursday night with all my friends from the advertising industry I work in here. Tonight I'm having my closest friends (outside work) over for cake, champagne, music and Wii games :) I can't wait to wear my new bird patterned jumpsuit, but first I'm off to get a birthday Manicure-Pedicure! Here are some pictures from this time last year.

February 3rd I visited inside the Revlon Canada head office.

I completed a great Adobe InDesign course that I was sent to by my work. I haven't had a chance to use what I learned yet, but a friend has the Adobe software I can put on my computer so looks like my handouts and lesson we not a waste.
March issues drop in February so these are not Feb. issues but what I was reading days before my birthday last year.

LOVE these Derek Lam and Lanvin collections, looks, and ads. At that time last when I was drooling over this Lanvin ad, I wouldn't have predicted the Lanvin X H&M collaboration that happened in the Winter.
Love this Chloe inspired oversized dress shirt I found at H&M. Ad from the magazines I was looking through at that time.

For my birthday last year my boyfriend and I went to the spa for a couples massage, lunch, and a relaxing soak. Outfit last year; cute top with designer Marni attire look-a-like girl with puffy shoulders, black pencil skirt, red velvet wedges, and my Jimmy Choo for H&M purse :D

My friend Andrea gave me the cutest Nautical inspired gift. Cutest tank top and re-usable bag.

The morning after my birthday party, I went to my favourite gallery, Thrush Holmes Empire. While on our walk I feel in love with these chandeliers at Industrial storm.
