Y? UK

I love buying UK fashion magazines but are more costly (here in Canada) than our North America titles, so I save buying them for when I'm traveling - my treat! This time I bought a few on our Canada Day long weekend because there were not any August issues on newsstand yet. UK publications are great, it's nice to see some of the same fashion, but styled in a slightly different way. I also enjoy the European models and celebs that I don't usually see in the American ones.

Both these issues were June! I love checking out to see what happened and is happening in all over the world when it comes to fashion. These were great floral trend features I would have to say I got addicted to in spring.

LOVE Menswear inspired looks, great for work and play. Romantic, long Cavalli dresses are to die for..

Mixing of patterns, outfit to jacket is very cool, LOVE mixing pattern.. Wore a striped shirt and leopard print flats the other day.. Awesome to see a Utility jacket like the one I bought earlier this year.

Oh the white blazer.. Thought it may be to bright on me, over power me and my pale skin but I have tried a few on recently and they are stylish!

BACK ALLEY SALLY II

Same alley I have featured before, but walked a little further down (on my way to the dollar store), and found these cool creatures/tags.

I do not condone violence but love the jungle meets street art in my neighbourhood back alley.
Not one for sci-fi either, but I like cute aliens :) Artist would probably cringe hearing that LOL

CHEAP DATE

A game I like to play is, take $10 to the dollar store and see what fun things I can find :) For $5 I bought a few straw hats and an 8 piece bubble making kit!

LONG WEEKEND

For Canada long weekend I have been buying old magazines, hanging out in parks, and painting walls at home. There wasn't any August issues out yet at the convenience stores I went to so I opted for InStyle (US) July issue, and UK InStyle and Harper's Bazaar June issues! Fashion ambassadors always say to move forward, but I find magazines fun to flip through new or old :)

Flats were all the feature in InStyle.. I am currently really heavy in to sandals, but flats my favourite go-to shoe. Wish I could afford the Chanel's..

Cute floral dress and flat combo. The outfit would look good with my new silver purse ;)

9 DAYS AND COUNTING..

My best friend Meghan is coming to visit me soon, 9 days but no one is counting ;) Currently living in Saskatchewan I can't wait to spend time with her here in Toronto, then we're off to New York!! Only going for 3 days, it is still going to be AMAZING. Here are a few things I've been plotting for our week vacation together:

Toronto
1. Check out The Bay (Yonge & Queen location), great deals to be had, and I want to discover The Room together :)

2. Joe Fresh. Joe Fresh locations are a little further away from me than preferred. A location is opening up down Queen Street from me, I can't wait! I'm excited that I will have a few days to leisurely make a trip to one of my favourite designer destinations.

We may be headed off to New York but it doesn't hurt to ensure you look fabulous, and feel your best when shopping in NYC :)

New York City
1. SOHO Neighbourhood. My all time favourite shopping destination. I really don't need to go anywhere else when I spend time exploring everything SOHO and surrounding neighbourhoods have to offer. From high end to high street ;) there is ALWAYS a great find to be had.

2. Rachel Rachel Roy. When we were in NYC last October the only thing I didn't get to do was check out Rachel Roy's boutique. The Bay in Toronto now carries Rachel Rachel Roy, but if I'm going to NYC why wouldn't I go to the source. I'm obsessed with this new line, can't wait to see what they have in store for me..

AUGUST ISSUE

After reading through FASHION's Model Issue half a dozen times, I decided to note a few cool things that stood out to me. Most of the time I have such a struggle editing what I want to feature but these images really came together and represent some of the sections I enjoyed reading the most.

Top right to leftl; Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2010 RTW look, Marc Jacob's show idea to cast both downtown hipster with models :)

Left to right; LOVE all three of these pieces, and the Tonic L'Oreal ad - smiled when I saw the Proenza Schouler/Spring 2010 hair trend brought off the runway for their hair ad. I wonder how many people besides me really like the trend?

VINTAGE 1

Went to meet up with a girlfriend, and walked by one of my FAVOURITE vintage stores in Toronto. Vintage 1. When I was really into making my own jewelry, I found Vintage 1 when I took a browse around my favourite bead store's neighbourhood. Good 'ol Ossignton street here in Toronto :)
