SWAROVSKI AND RODARTE INVOLVED IN THE BLACK SWAN

I can't believe I haven't seen this movie yet.. Having to sit still-ish in a movie theatre for 2 hours always deters me.. I'm a busy-body, I enjoy putting in a movie at home and completing any projects I have going on. Any who, movie has been such a success I'm worried it's been really built up.. In the meantime I can enjoy this behind the scenes video on the costume and set design. Love that they involved the thrilling duo, Rodarte.

HASBEENS CLOGS MEETS HENNES AND MAURITZ STORES

Two years in a row H&M is bringing sustainable clothing to consumers in Spring! Last year (March 25th to be exact), H&M launch a spring clothing collection completely made out of environmentally friendly fabrics. This year H&M teams up with Swedish company Hasbeens to launch a line of clogs, in stores April 20th. This shoe in particular has caught my eye. No ankle strap, I'm not sure how comfortable they will be walking in for a long period of time, but they're very ME.

I enjoying collecting and reading books. Fashion, Art, Music and Architecture are personal favourites. Coffee table books and biographies are my #1.
LOVE The Fashion Book my boyfriend bought me for Christmas, it's THE fashion bible! Second book is hard to see but, it's one of the books I bought at the San Diego Contemporary Art Museum; Collecting Contemporary Art. Last but not least today I picked up ELLE magazine's book ELLEments of Personal Style. By Joe Zee and Maggie Bullock, the book is made up of 25 style icon's and their wardrobe secrets and stories..

FASHION FRIDAY AT JOE FRESH!

Today I decided to enjoy the sunshine (after the snow storm we had), and walk over to Joe Fresh and see what they had for merchandise.. OMG I didn't expect to find so many amazing pieces!! After taxes each piece averaged a price of $24!!! I was interested in a black cardigan, which I found, also the same one in Camel, red cable knit sweater $20!!, Harem-Capri's, great olive green cardigan (my favourite colour right now), and last but definitely not least - the piece I'm actually most excited to wear next; the black and white striped top!! The little bow detail on the right shoulder is to die for!! Tucked into the pants, jeans, under a blazer, the top is perfect for work and play :D

HOLIDAY RED TO NEW YEAR NEUTRAL

I had a mani/pedi in San Diego, made time on my mall day :) Have been wearing OPI's Red ever since. Today I decided to get freshened up. Sand under my toe nails, and chipping polish is not sexy. I bought OPI's You Don't Know Jacques a long time ago but haven't really worn it. They had the colour in the salon, so why not!?! :) My boyfriend and I are going out to celebrate our friend Jeff's recent birthday, can't wait to put on my planned outfit..

Sexy picture I took at our hotel room in San Diego. Also great opportunity to show, note, discuss my love for mixing tans/beige's with silver/grey's :) My boyfriend knew I needed a proper wallet but was worried about picking out something I wouldn't like.. I feel for him there are a lot of choices in Coach, and my style is simple but unique/quirky, I agree it is hard to gauge.. He did soo well, and was so happy to see the genuine smile in my eyes, he done good. Although my new purse is camel/taupe, I love that they aren't matchy-matchy and they do represent a way I like to style.

My kitty, Nigo was soo happy to see my boyfriend and I :) She slept in my arms the entire night, every now again she would 'knead' me.

ROAD TRIP: JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK

On December 30th we decided to do a one day road trip to Joshua Tree National Park. We wanted to make it to the Grand Canyon this trip but just couldn't get enough pieces to the puzzle together. Joshua Tree was a sight to be seen for sure. We wanted to stay in Palm Springs and have more time exploring and climbing rocks in the park but, at least we made it. The terrain was so magnificent, it reminded us of Dr. Seuss drawings/books.
